Prayer for Inner Peace and for following the Call of Christ

Lord, please put your peace in my heart. I'm worried and anxious. My mind races and obsesses. I can't help thinking about my problems. And the more I think about them, the more depressed I become. I feel like I'm sinking down in quicksand and can't get out. Calm me, Lord. Slow me down, put your peace in my heart.

No matter what problem I have, Lord, you are bigger, you are more powerful than it is. So I bring my problem to you. I know what I want. I know my will. I do not know yours. I do not know how You will use this problem for my salvation. I do not know what good You will work out at this evil. But I trust You. I trust Your Goodness and your Wisdom. So I place myself in your hands. Please fill my heart with peace.

Amen.

Prayer.
Lord, I thank you for the gifts you have given me, especially for life, love, family and friends.  Help me to know myself better and to know my talents, as I pray, study and decide on my life's work.
Help me to see and understand the path you open for me. Help me choose a life's work, which will be in response to my potential and your love for me.
If I am being invited to follow you as Your Missionary, give me a generous heart to respond to your challenging call and the strength to follow you wherever you lead me.
Amen.

CHRISTIAN LIFE IS A STRUGGLE

Dear friends in the Lord Jesus Christ. A Christian life doesn’t always go smooth. All of us come across situations, where we feel like we are being punished for no fault of ours. I have been encouraged by many friends through this scripture “Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  (Isaiah 41:10)”
God’s power is not limited by the impossibility of your situation.  He knows how to allow your pain to work out the purpose for which he planned.  That is why we never give up and never surrender.  We are a royal army who are being trained to rule in a kingdom that will never end.  Be mindful that your struggles won’t endure, but through Christ, your eternal future will!
Christ is enough for all your needs. Your painful trial is temporary.  The enemy wants you to believe that things will never change but that is a lie.  The truth is that he sees your struggle and is using it for your good.  For that reason, you must never let your faith be nearsighted.  Trust in God’s long-range plan for your future. You cannot fall so far that the grace of God is not able to restore your life and complete the purpose he began in you.

Where ever we are; whatever condition we may be in, God wants to use us to be a blessing to others and to build His kingdom. Whatever you face, God will make a way to take you through it! God’s word stands true and he fulfills every promise despite the problems we face. This world is not our final destination but only a place of preparation for what is to come.
Our problems and struggles do not dictate our future.  It is planned out by Christ Jesus who will not fail to help those who trust in him.  I know that my pain has no power to destroy the hope I have through Christ.  Despite what I face in this life, my God will always be bigger. God’s promises of mercy and grace are new to us every morning.  He does not fail us and he never leaves us.  No matter what trouble you have in life, there is always going to be the help that you need through Christ.
My friends, do you feel like you are in darkness as your troubles leave no light of hope?  The truth is that if you belong to Christ, he will always find a way to meet you in your struggle and draw you to himself.  He will reach through the crowd and take you to a place of healing and peace.  Nothing is impossible to him who knew you before you were born. I read a great quote by Christian singer Wintley Phipps which said: “It is in the quiet crucible of your personal, private suffering that your noblest dreams are born and God’s greatest gifts are given, in compensation for what you have been through.”
In Psalm 142:7, David cried out to God - "Bring my soul out of prison..." Again, in Psalm 143:11, he earnestly prayed - "...for Thy righteousness' sake, bring my soul out of trouble."  David knew what it was like to feel trapped in prison.  That is why, in the various Psalms, he mentioned his soul being in "prison" or "trouble" or being "shut up into the hand of the enemy." These were real situations that he encountered. Nonetheless, one thing about this Psalmist, he always knew Where to go to for Deliverance. He always turned to the One and Only Deliverer, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Courage dear friends, in any situation we have to keep the word of God and trust Him.  Thank you for all your prayers.

Prayer for Loving Others

                              Prayer for Loving Others

Lord,
Make me an instrument of Your Love. May I see each circumstance in my life as an opportunity to grow in Your Love. May I see my environment as a place to grow in Your Love.
May I then take this love to other people.....
  • When I am tempted to become impatient, help me to be patient.
  • When I am tempted to become unkind, help me to be kind.
  • When I am tempted to become jealous, help me to be tolerant.
  • When I am tempted to become boastful or proud, help me give You the glory.
  • When I am tempted to be rude or selfish, give me the gift of gentleness.
  • When I am tempted to take offense, help me to let go .
  • When I am tempted to become angry with someone, give me the gift of forgiveness .
  • When I am tempted to become resentful , give me Your power to love.
Lord, grant that I may take no pleasure in criticizing others, but that I may see good in them, as You do.
  • When I begin to concentrate on the faults and failures of others, give me courage to praise their accomplishments.
  • Help me be loyal to those You give me to love.
  • Help me to believe in them, even when they do not believe in themselves. To expect the best from them, but accept the best they can give. May I always defend them, as You always defend me.
All gifts and powers come from You. All will come to an end. With one important exception, the gift of love!!! Lord, when I was a child, I thought like a child, I acted like a child, and I reasoned like a child. Now that I have become an adult, I release my childish ways. Amen.
